USDA Rural Loan – Property Location Eligibility Requirements

What happens if a house that is financed using the USDA Rural Development Program and the house is no longer in a designated USDA Eligible Area. Can the borrower still refinance to a new USDA Loan even though USDA no longer classifies the area as rural?

Good News: USDA will allow a USDA to USDA refinance even though the property is no longer in a designated USDA Eligible Area. This is allowed for all USDA Refinance options including both Streamline USDA Guarantee Refinance and the non-Streamline USDA Guarantee Refinance.
